Being real, though, the internet was always weird. It's true. When I was a really young kid, I used to go onto Newgrounds looking for Mega Man flash games to play. I wanted to play the real Mega Man games, but I couldn't figure out how to get emulators to work. So I spent a lot of time right here. There were (bad) games, flash animations of varying quality, and plenty of stuff that I was not old enough to be looking at.
I used to think it was a novel thing for somebody to create digital works for public consumption, but now, if we count the (typically, multiple) social media accounts that any given person has, everyone's a content creator. But, let's be honest, most of us are creating and saying very little.
